MEETINGS SET FOR INPUT ON TRAILS AT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

August 22, 2014 (San Diego’s East County) – The San Diego National Wildlife Refuge invites the public to meetings in Spring Valley, Bonita and El Cajon to discuss a draft comprehensive conservation plan and the impact on trail users.  The meetings are set for August 25, August 26, and September 10, all from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the locations listed below.  Comments are accepted through September 17.  For more information see: http://www.fws.gov/refuge/San_Diego/what_we_do/planning.html

Spring Valley/Valle de Oro/Rancho San Diego areas – Monday, August 25 - Steele Canyon High School, 2440 Campo Rd, Spring Valley, CA 91978. We will send the meeting room location as soon as confirmed with the school or look for direction signs on campus.

Bonita/Sweetwater areas – Tuesday, August 26 - Community Building at Sweetwater Summit Campground at 3218 Summit Meadow Rd., Bonita 91902. 

Please note that the only free parking at this location is located in the cul-de-sac next to the community building or outside the park entrance by the playground and splash park.  Any other locations will be required to pay the $3 parking fee.  

Dehesa/Sloane/McGinty areas – Wednesday, September 10 - Dehesa School 4612 Dehesa Road, El Cajon CA 92019.
